Solved: Driver Updates

    I have driver Max but I don't fully trust the program I have seen that it shows I have a available update for my modem and I wanted to know what is the best way to google driver updates! Especially for my conexant Modem.

    You are correct not to trust Driver Directive or any of these update programs.
    Always get updates from your computer maker or hardware manufacturer.
    If your modem works OK you don't need an update.

    If all of the devices in the Device Manager have their drivers installed and show as working properly, it's not mandatory that you update the drivers when they become available.

    Stay away from driver scanner programs because they're not anywhere close to 100% accurate, and you need to buy some of them in order to download drivers with them.

    If you need one or more drivers for some reason, you can usually get them at the vendor sites or the computer manufacturer support site or from other reliable sites.
