I'm running Windows XP and using AOL with a WiFi connection. My internet connection drops after about 10 - 12 minutes. Is there anything I should be looking at to remedy this situation.

Moved your thread from Web & Wmail to Networking.

Can you determine where the disconnect is? Your title implies between computer and router (or access point). But then "internet connection drops" implies it may be between ISP and modem.

Do you have any other device connected to the same router? If so, does it lose internet access at the same time?

Do you get the problem with the computer connected to the router by ethernet?

If you have separate modem and router do you get the same problem with the computer connected directly to the modem?

Do the LEDs on the modem and/or router change, and hence give a good indication of where the disconnect is?

Thanks to all who replied. I moved the computer to another area of the room and that appears to have solved the problem.
