I recently noticed I have duplicate icons :

Does anyone know how I can get rid of one please ? Both are clickable and provide the same function as usual.

    Thanks

Darkst4r, Do a file search for: *.cpl

Start>Search>All files and folders and type in :

    *.cpl

    Click Search.

When you find those 2 just right click on one of them and choose delete.

Or you could just drag & drop 1 onto the other if you can't find the 2 of them in the search cpl.

Hi , thanks for the reply.
I did the search but could not see an obvious set of files for sounds and audio devices. They must be listed as something else but I am unsure what so am reluctant to delete things.
Could you suggest what the name for these items could be ?
I tried the drag and drop method but it didnt work , the duplicate item just sits over its original.
    Thanks.
