Solved: DVD

    :mad:A weird thing happens when I put a movie DVD in my computer, it won’t play and something called Cyberlink power DVD shows up asking me to buy it, but the device manager shows a different driver for the DVD player. What can I do to play the movie? Thanks.

    sorry about that...I had changed the default program to windows media, but no good. When I right click the dvd drive it does not give me the option of OPEN WITH.

    do u have cyberlink loaded on your computer (in programs and features) assuming u have windows 7

    Windows 8 doesn't natively support DVD playback, it will use the codec from another peice of software (like Cyberlink PowerDVD for example). If you have PowerDVD installed as a trial and that trial has expired, it could be blocking other programs from using its DVD codec, hence the prompt to buy it.     Thank You, that answers my question and solved the problem, I bought Cyberlink power dvd and it works fine.
