    Download Brute Force Uninstaller.
Unzip it to its own folder (c:\BFU)

RIGHT-CLICK HERE and choose "Save As" (in IE it's "Save Target As") in order to download EGDACCESS Remover. Save it in the folder you made earlier (c:\BFU)

Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by double clicking BFU.exe

In the scriptline to execute copy and paste c:\bfu\EGDACCESS.bfu
Press execute and let it do its job.

Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.
Press exit to terminate the BFU program.

Download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here.
    • Install ewido.
    • During the installation, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
    • Launch ewido
    • It will prompt you to update click the OK button and it will go to the main screen
    • On the left side of the main screen click update
    • Click on Start and let it update.
    • DO NOT run a scan yet. You will do that later in safe mode.

Click here for info on how to boot to safe mode if you don't already know how.

Now copy these instructions to notepad and save them to your desktop. You will need them to refer to in safe mode.

Restart your computer into safe mode now. Perform the following steps in safe mode:

    Run Ewido:
    • Click on scanner
    • Click Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
    • During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click OK
    • When the scan is finished, look at the bottom of the screen and click the Save report button.
    • Save the report to your desktop

Restart back into Windows normally now.

Do a Panda Active Scan. Be sure to save the log it creates.

Come back here and post a new HijackThis log, as well as the logs from the Ewido and Panda scans.

Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove programs and remove:

    MyWay

Rescan with HijackThis, close all browser windows except HijackThis, put a check mark beside these entries and click fix checked.

I'm also attaching a "fixneed2find.zip" file to this post. Unzip it to your desktop. Double click the "fixneed2find.reg" file and, at the prompt, allow it to enter into the registry.

Reboot and let me know how things are running please.

Here is the newest HJT log. One more quick question, I want to buy that Panda Scanner, but it says that I have to remove McAfee Virus Scan first, which is fine with me because I hate McAfee and have been wanting to get something else anyhow, but I can't just remove the Virus Scan. It is telling me that I have to remove all McAfee in order to do this. Is this a good idea? I have several other programs that will cover for the loss, so what do i do? And what do you recommend? I thought about Norton, but I am NOT a pro by any means of the word here! HA HA! Thanks a million for all of your help. Microsoft AntiSpy isn't picking anything up anymore and my IE connection is much better. THANKS!!!

It would be easier to get to it if I had remembered to attach it! D'oh! :D

You'll find it attached to this post, I promise. :)

I see you've already installed Panda or at least some components. You do need to uninstall one anti-virus before installing another. Usually, you can download the installer and before running it, you can go off-line and uninstall the previous one.

I would not go with Norton, BTW, it's a resource hog.

Your log looks good now. Is everything running properly?

Only having minor problem now, I have to keep retrying to open my IE. But I think that is a problem with my satelite. I have a brand new modem from DirecWay and it has been nothing but a headache. I keep having to unplug it to reboot it and if that doesn't work, I have to call the company and have one of their poeple walk me through re-installing it. AAAAHHHHHH! What a mess. I have to have the high speed due to work issues, and I live in the middle of nowhere, so DirecWay is my only option. Any suggestions on that one!!! HA HA! I keep telling them that I need a new modem or something cause I am really getting tired of this, but oh well. Thanks again for all of your help. I'll let you know in a day or two if everything is still working alright. You're the best!! Thanks! Deanna

Please do let us know how things are going.

Now you should turn system restore off to flush out all previous system restore points, then turn it back on and create a new restore point:

To turn off system restore, on the Desktop, right click on My Computer and click on Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn System Restore back on and create a restore point.

To create a new restore point, click on Start – All Programs – Accessories – System Tools and then select System Restore.

In the System Restore wizard, select Create a restore point and click the Next button.

Type a name for your new restore point then click on Create.

I also recommend downloading SPYWAREBLASTER & SPYWAREGUARD for added protection.

Read here for info on how to tighten your security.

    Delete your temporary files:

In safe mode navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit - Select All then Edit - Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start - Run and type %temp% in the Run box. The Temp folder will open. Click Edit - Select All then hit Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Finally go to Control Panel - Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK.

    Empty the recycle bin.
