Solved: emailing track of music cd

    hi all! when i try to send a track of a music cd, the attachment shows up as track 01.cda and of course it doesn't open as a song. why? using Thunderbird

    A CDA file type only applies to raw audio data on the CD itself. You need to first convert (RIP) the music track from the CD to an audio file on your hard drive and then e-mail it.

    EDIT: You can use a free program like Windows Media Player to rip the CD track.
