ok, just yesterday, i downloaded a program to make a vcd slideshow thing. i got the info from a thread that i started . anyway, now when i startup, i get a blue screen with an error message, "The 32- bit device driver CDRPWD (01) 00004D23 has attemted to use a system device whic is not loaded. It may be possible to continue normally." and then it lets you press any key or restart. it does that screen 3 times and then works normally, what should i do?

May help if you stated what software you loaded.

That error is associated with easy cd creator I believe.

Buddy can you give us the specifics of what you did to repair this? We've seen people report it a few times before, and other than suggesting a removal and reinstall of adaptec, we haven't had a clue.

yeah, i just searched for the error message in the start find thing, and then i put it in the recycle bin.(i know it was probably not the best thing to do, but it worked)

In other words you just deleted the problem file: CDRPWD.sys

Okeedoke, renaming might have been better, but looks like you are home free :)
