Hi, I hope you can help!

Every time I log on I get and error message:

DrWatson Postmortem debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    Event type: BEX
    P1: drwtsn32.exe
    P2: 5.1.2600.0
    P3: 3b7d84a2
    P4: dbghelp.dll
    P5: 5.1.2600.2180
    P6: 4110969a
    P7: 0001295d
    P8: c0000409
    P9: 00000000

Files to be included in this report:
    C:\Docu...\ross\local...\temp\WERd608.dir00\drwtsn32.exe.mdmp
    C:\Docu...\ross\local...\temp\WERd608.dir00\appcompat.txt

When I click 'close' the system freezes, so I start task manager which usually (but not always) displays 2 or more drwtsn32 entries. So I end the process(es) and the system frees up and I can work again. However, sometimes task manager only lists about 20 entries but says I have about 60 processes running. When this happens I generally have to restart my computer completely.

    I'm running XP Pro, SP2

I've scanned other threads and have tried what I can:

I run Kaspersky anti-virus, Spy-bot, Ad-aware, SpywareGuard, Spywareblaster, AVG Anti-spyware, Cleanup!, and Registry Mechanic. I have run all of these in safe mode to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appretiated!

    Here's a HijackThis log file:

Additionally, that seems to have knocked out Kaspersky.

It is telling me that the anti-virus database is out of date - when it blatantly isn't, I updated it manually yesterday!

If I try it in safe mode I get a dialog box saying:

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

    Runtime Error!

Program: Kaspersky Antivirus 5.0 for Windows Workstations\kavsvc.exe

    Abnormal program termination

Then a speech box tells me that the Antivirus functionality is not available.

    Understood....

Run a Disk Check click start then Run type cmd click OK

In the new window type chkdsk /r then press Enter

You will be given the option to run a Check Disk on the next restart click Y and then
    press Enter.....

The next time the PC starts it will run the Scan...it may take awhile so please be patient....do not turn the PC off while it is scanning.
