    Hello,

I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 and just last night clean reinstalled Windows XP SP1. Today, I put in the SP2 CD and was beginning to install it when I got 2 error messages: that it cannot copy dmload.sys or bootvid.dll

Please help me I have no clue what to do and I am relatively a noob when it comes to doing this. Any help is much appreciated!

Use the link in post #3 to download and save the full 316 MB SP3 upgrade, then burn it off to a CD-R. You can then install it in that computer and in any other computer that needs it. Make sure to turn off your anti-virus program(if you have one installed) before doing the upgrade.
