Solved: Event viewer

    Hello.
    What does this error mean and how can it be fixed:
    The default transaction resource manager on volume Win 7 encountered a non-retryable error and could not start. The data contains the error code.

    Hi, you usually receive this error along with some others, it references the Common Log File System (CLFS), and it means it is in a inconsistent state (ie corrupt) it can be repaired manually with quite a few cmd's however we have had success with the fsutil util and since it is easiest lets try it first:-

    Go to start, search and type:- cmd right click on the returned cmd.exe and select "run as administrator" at the prompt copy paste all below in red:-

    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\ Press enter, restart computer, let us know how you get on.
