Hi, I hope this is the correct forum ...
I was trying to run an Ewido scan on my PC but once I clicked "Full system scan" the screen was replaced by the display attached (this shot from my laptop as PC frozen still). This screen then froze the mouse mid way bewtween "Threat" and "Risk".

My PC is now frozen & I cannot get anything to open or close or get the mouse to move !!
Using my laptop for this, any help much appreciated as the Ewido tech support site seems to be closed on Sunday ?

    Thanks.
    Richard.

Were you running it in Safe Mode?

    Hi,
    Thanks for contacting me.
When the whole system froze I was in normal mode and was just about to run a routine scan.
I've now re-booted (in normal mode) completely uninstalled and then re-installed Ewido & (so far !) things seem OK ...
The PC is going back to the retailer in a few days for an annual check so hopefully they'll pick up & rectify any lurking problems.

In the meantime are there any simple safe measures I should take ? In addition to Ewido I already use:
Adaware, ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender - which I run with their default settings.

    Thanks again for your reply.
    Richard.
