I am making a scatter plot using excel and the plot contains two series of close to 2000 points each. The problem is that because the points are so close together, you cant distinguish between a point that is labeled as a triangle or a square, they are all just clumped together as one big blurred line. Is there any way to have the points connected by a line that can be labeled more clearly. I would print them in different colors but the project that this is for needs to be printed in black in white. Let me know if there is anything i can do about this. Thanks in advance.

Can you change the Left Hand Scale so that the Points can move further apart on the paper?
Is it printing in "Landscape" to maximise the use of the paper?
you could try using a dot and a circle as the points, then the dots might appear inside the circles where the values are the same.
