Hello this is my first post on this forum. My problem is when I boot up my computer explore.exe freezes. The desktop, Taskbar, and icons will not respond. I have to open up Task Manager and end explore in the process list and launch it back up to continue using my computer. I have Trend Micro Internet Security, Malwarebytes, and SuperAntiSpyware. Ive run scans multiple times using the programs and they find nothing. I also defragment my computer regularly. I recently downloaded Hijack this but I don't really know what do with it. Here are my computer specs. Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz Memory: 2046MB RAM Hard Drive: 495 GB Video Card: (2) NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Monitor: SyncMaster 226BW(Digital) Sound Card: SB X-Fi Audio [CCE0] Speakers/Headphones: Logitech 5.1 Keyboard: Dell USB Keyboard Mouse: Logitech G5 USB Laser Mouse Operating System: Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3

Do you have the paid version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, with real-time protection? If so, is it the latest version 1.38?

If not, you can try a chkdsk /r.

    If still no luck,

Please click here to download and install the HijackThis installer.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

    Do not fix anything

It shouldn't be that way. Everything is usually aligned from the left.

Don't use Word or any other word processor. Simply copy what you see in Notepad.

Well, first of all, you are overkilling it! You have two firewalls, and SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware in real-time protection. That surely will cause conflicts or freezes. Do you also have Windows Firewall turned on?!?

You also have Trend Micro Personal Firewall.

No, SAS and MBAM are not firewalls. You could only run MBAM in real-time.

    Trend Micros firewall is disabled.

Edit: I knew that they aren't I just misunderstood your post and just re-read it. I thought you were telling me they were firewalls lol.

I also think you have two antivirus programs. Never run more than one. The same thing goes for firewalls. Uninstall one suite.

Also, MBAM had an issue with version 1.37 they're supposed to have resolved with version 1.38: Conflicts with antivirus programs and computer freezes.

Well I have the latest MBAM but I still have the problem with explorer.

Edit: I just got the update today so let me re-start my computer again and see if the problems fixed.

Edit: It froze but I didn't have to end it in Task Manager this time.
