Thanks so much for your help. I have not found a set of instructions that takes me from A to Z. I get stuck on setting the range of cells to transfer. Is there a place that gives you the whole program step by step? Tim

Not sure, Tim...but, I would think you just choose the important stuff, name, email address, phone number.....seems that when I tried something like that, I tried to keep it as simple as short as possible, figuring that I could go in and edit the other trivial stuff.

Let's ask for a forum move with the moderators. Web and email will be better. You'll get some better help there. You've posted in the XP forum.

    Hi timeham

Do you have column headers for your contacts in Excel?

One way to keep everything straight would be to create at least one Contact in Outlook 2007, then Export that Contact as a .csv file. This would give you the template for the headers that Outlook is using.
Then copy and paste the information from your excel sheet into the .csv file, Save the .csv file and Import the .csv file back into Outlook.

Otherwise, what is happening when you attempt to Import the contacts into Outlook?
