Somehow my computer managed to change a setting or something to where if I save any pictures or mp3 files on my computer, and later decide to change the name...I have to include the extension in the name as well or it will not work properly. I used to know how to turn this off, so that the extensions wouldn't show up like this. How do I go about fixing this? I don't want the extensions to be shown in the file name.

Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - View - select "Hide extensions for known file types". OK out.
