I bought a cavalry caui37400 external hard drive a few months ago. Worked great did everything I expected. I just reformatted my computer and now it either doesn't want to recognize it or it recognizes it incorrectly as a removable media (instead of a hd). How do I fix that problem? Help appreciated, thanks.

    Why did you reformat?

    Go to Disk Management

Click Start then Right click My Computer and choose Manage and in the new window on the left choose Disk Management

If you see the drive there see what it says about it and does it give it a drive letter

Also right click on it and give it a name

windows was running slow and I hadn't reformatted in over a year. When I click manage and go to disk management the only hard drive is the C: Drive
