Solved: External hardrive suddenly not recognized

    Hi Guys

    I use Win XP.
    All of sudden when I plug my external hardrive I just get "USB device not recognized"
    I already tried on other computer & it's still the same.
    Please help

    It may just be the USB cable, so maybe try that first.
    If that doesn't work you can try taking the unit apart and connecting the actual hard drive to an internal SATA connector in your PC as it may be enclosure thats failed.
