Solved: External monitor black in normal mode but visible in safe mode

    I can no longer see my external monitor. I have hooked it up because my laptop monitor no longer has a functioning backlite/

    In the past when this happens I used system restore, but now when I try that it says there is no restore point.

    HELP!!

    The external monitor toggle was somehow unset. fn f5 fixed it.
