Solved: Factory restore Sony Vaio PCG-6T1P

    Hi there

    I want to sell my Sony Vaio Laptop but I would like to reset the PC to its original factory settings, so that all my personal information is wiped from the computer.

    How do I do this without a recovery disc, as the laptop never came with one when I bought it?

    Cannot find any info on that model, please check the label on the underside of the computer....

    Here is a tutorial but I think they are for a newer model, perhaps it is the same procedure.... would be similar, the VAIO Recovery is what you need, should be in the All Programs list....

    The model number, according to the directions from the website is: VGN-C31GH.
