If you can extract the files from the Windows 98SE CD, it's just a matter of saving them somewhere, then placing them in their proper folders.

Which files are you extracting?

I had to switch over from my XP machine to my 98SE machine to check.

The KERNEL32.DLL file goes in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder.

The CABVIEW.DLL file goes in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHELLEXT folder.

Make sure to reboot afterwards.
