By recovery what do you mean? A file recovery tool? You need to provide more info into this. When you say delete do you mean by just moving them to the recycle bin per say or did you put them in trash and then empty it where it was recovered by an undelete utility? More than likely however, the files are unrecoverable.

was using a torrent software and i deleted the task from there and the files also got deleted and i guess that it got deleted from the comp also
so i guess that was a complete removal from the comp....

When you delete a file, all the space that file occupied is made available to the operating system and programs to be overwritten. Recovery applications look to restore as much of this marked space as possible, and in some cases, the files can be read, used, etc. again. In this case, all the data couldn't be recovered, so the videos won't play. It's unlikely that you ca repair the files.

Since you came by the videos illegally, however, you can't get help here.

Hi All. I may be wrong but shouldn't you have the recovery tool installed first otherwise from what I have heard that they seldom work is that true?.

Deleting files tends to have the consequence of not allowing access anymore.

Also as previously stated by helix, since it seems they were downloaded illeagally, we cannot offer assistance here.

I'm going to close this since we're talking about illegal downloads and we don't assist with P2P applications.
