I wanted to disable the highly irritating "automatic image resizing" function in Firefox. So I followed these steps:

I went to >

1. about:config in the browser
2. Entered "browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing" in Filter field.
3. Double-clicked the single result and changed it to False.

No effect.

Everything still gets resized if it's a large image. I also closed and restarted Firefox.

Any suggestions?

Can you give us an example (website) of an image getting resized?

Really strange. I had initially gone to the Bing > Images > screenshots watchmen (to see movie clip images of this film), and they kept resizing, even after I made the changes. Now - they're not resizing. I did nothing in the meantime. But it seems to be working. (y)
