Hey Gang,

I'm using Mozilla Firefox 2.0 on win XP and win98. In both cases Firefox isn't bookmarking. I click the Bookmarks page, click "Bookmark this page" and I click the button, and nothing happens.

How can I fix it?

I tried this, from the post you linked me to:

you probably have a corrupt localstore.rdf file. Save a backup of all settings and try this:
Start> Mozilla Firefox> Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode).
When safe mode window opens, Select the option Reset toolbars and controls
and then choose Make Changes and Restart. Then reset your options.

but I couldn't find the "Reset Toolbars and Controls" option. Where is it?

thanks,
HULK!

Thanks Augie,

Originally I was opening windows in Safe Mode and it wasn't working. Then I read the article you sent me and I started firefox in Safe Mode. It worked. I reseted it and now I'm happy.

You taught me something new.

thanks,

When you start Firefox in safe mode, a dialog window will open and the second check box down should be Reset toolbars and controls.
Edit, I should have explained that it is Firefox safe mode and not Windows safe mode.
You are very welcome.:)

No, not unless you check the box Reset bookmarks to Firefox defaults on the dialog window when starting Firefox in safe mode.
You would be wise to keep a backup of your bookmarks on your computer somewhere in case something happens in Firefox and you lose them. I keep a backup of my Profile folder so I can replace any of my settings.
Here is a guide to find and restore your bookmarks.

Your settings are in your Profile folder. You can save them individually or I just save a copy of the Profile folder. Your settings or preferences are in different files in the Profile folder.
