First I want to say This happens on no other web browser and I can't get used to any other. Basically Its fine when the computer starts I can do whatever and it's fine, but when I download something it makes the task bar crash. The error message "windows explorer has stopped working" will never go away after it comes up the first time.

Click cancel (x4) and every few minutes it comes up again and crashes whatever I have open.

I have reinstalled and updated but it's not helping.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try running FF in Safe mode and see if it happens then.

FF Safe mode disables all your plug-ins and add-ons. If its OK , then you have to go in and disable them one at a time to see which one is the cause.

I don't want to just leave without leaving some reply.

The plug-ins have caused problems before. I'll try that and comment back in a day or two.

    You're right, it was a plug-in.

    Thanks.
