I have a flat bed scanner I havn't used in some months, the last time I used it I used PaperPort Deluxe software, I have had some viruses in the last few weeks, now when I try to load it I get 2 messages: "D:\PAPRPORT\paprport.exe" "a device attached to the system is not functioning" next screen "The SHELL32.DLL file is linked to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL:SHRegGetUSValueA" I have no idea what all that means.
    1.2gh
    40gb
    512mb
    Win98se
    PaperPort Deluxe 5.3
    ScanMaker E3

    Got any ideas?

As sick as it makes me to say this, on some level, I would recomend going to the manufacturer's website to see if they have a druver patch or something

Also, if you haven't uninstall/reinstalled it yet, that is usually a good try, but I would guess you would have tryed that b4 asking her, but whatever
