Solved: folder opening in browser prob pls help

    hi guys,,, im new in this forum,,, anyway,,, my poblem is when i try to open my folders,,, any folders in my computer,,, what happens is they don't open in a window,,, the folders open in my web browser,,, what can i do to fix this problem,,, i think it's just a simple problem,,, or maybe im wrong,,, but pls help me,,, i really have important word files im doing right now so this problem of mine is really annoying,,, pls help thx,,,

    We need more info: OS? (WinXP, NT, 2k), Browser (IE6, IE7), etc.

    my os is win xp pro version 2002 service pack 2,,, i have iE7 but im always using firefox as my default browser,,, this problem started when my friend tried to change my folder icons,,, he went to "folder options",,, then he went to "file types",,, in file types there was all these kinds of extensions,,, first in the list was "audio cd" then these 2 yellow folders,,, my comp is in italian coz im in italy so i dont know what it was called,,, here is a screeny of what im talking about,,,

    thx so much,,, i will try this out,,, and post it here if it works,,, thx again,,,

    edit: i have tried this script but nothing happened,,, still the same,,, do i save this script somewhere inside my harddisk or can i delete it after i run it,,, i was reading the forums and found this thread [http://forums.techguy.org/windows-n...lem-desktop-regarding-shortcuts-folders.html] there was this file/folder open fix that lead me to this [http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts/xp_folder_open.vbs],,, can i also try this to fix my problem? and by the way,, how do i use that file/folder open fix thing,,, thx
