Recently I have found I am unable to access the overall folder options.

If I try in Windows Explorer I get an error pop-up (shown below) and if I try via Control Panel/Folder Options there is no response at all.

This is on Vista Home Premium, so there is no Group Policy Editor available. And I am the administrator.

    Ideas?

I have installed a trial of the full version of xplorer² and may well end up circumventing this entire issue simply by abandoning Windows Explorer.
