Solved: folder trouble shoot

I'm unable to view toolbar when i open the folders ,hence I can't navigate or perform any action other than opening the items in ::that folder.My operating system is WS XP.If I click explore in MY COMPUTER i'm able to view the toolbar this is posible only in MY COMPUTER not in any other folder. Pl. help to fix this problem.:confused::confused:

vidraj, Do you mean the Common Task pane on the left side of the screen? If you do click Start>Control Panel>Folder Options>General tab and select "Show common tasks in folders", click Apply/OK.

thankx for ur suggestion.
it dosn't work. that's already on.it's not the control panel. the folders open without any navigation tool.

The toolbar you are referring to - are you talking about the File, Edit, View...bar at the top?
If so, go to My Computer, click on Tools and go to Folder Options. Click on the View tab and click on Restore Defaults, then click on Reset all folders.

vidraj, Is it the Menu bar (File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help) at the top or the Toolbar which should be under the Menu bar that is missing. Please try to explain exactly what bar is missing as there are simple fixes available.
