Hi, I want to format my hard drive ( been two years ) ! It is now running XP Pro, which I do not have the discs, and I want to switch back to XP Home, which I have one disc that came with the computer !
I've tried booting up with the disk, so that I can format my hard drive, but nothing happens!
Can anyone help me to get rid of the Pro and switch back to Home ! The last time the computer guy put in Pro for me , but now I can't upgrade, because I don't have the disk !!
I want to try and save money by doing it myself, I guess that's the reason he put in Pro - so that I would have to call him !!
Please help, I know it must be easy, I just need to be shown the way !!:(

Is your Bios set to boot from the cdrom first?
Where did you get this XP Home disk from? Is it a restoration disk or an actual install disk?
