It could be a bad install. What happens when it "freezes?" Does it completely freeze? Do you get a blue screen? Does Ctrl+Alt+Del work?

Where did you get the ISO from? Can you try formatting the drive again and trying to install it one more time? It's a beta, and it could have been a bad install.

What build are you using? Beta 2? I'd just reinstall and activate right away.

If you got it on DVD then that eliminates the possibility for a bad download or burn... So yes, I would just reinstall and activate it right away as AcaCandy suggested.

    Good luck! (y)

Oh. :) Yes, they had the option to order Vista in the mail. I believe you got two DVDs (one x86 and one x64), and all you had to pay was the shipping and handling, which was $6 in most areas. :) I was going to order it, but I didn't want to wait the three weeks they were allowing for delivery. ;)

I reinstalled and everything is ok now.

I was just on the microsoft website and it looks like the customer preview program has ended so its no longer available on dvd.
