I have recently bought office 2003... much to my surprise it does not come with front page. I have front page 2000. Will front page 2000 work if I have office 2003 installed on my machine or will there be any bad affects to my office 2003.

thanx

Hi,

I would imagine that there should be no problems if you install Frontpage on your computer and also have Office running. Because individual programs can be installed from Office (installing just Word and not the others, etc.), I do not see why it would be a problem. If it was, I would think they would let you know before installing or during the installation process.

The Office 2003 installer may say that some of the new Office components are not compatible with FP 2000. The only choices will be to cancel the whole Office 2003 installation or un-install FP 2000. This was the case on an PC running Windows XP at work a few months ago. Found out that the user never used FP. Choice was easy in my case.

I kept FP2002 when I added Office 2003 that didn't include it. No problems in any of the programs.

I did a similar thing with FP 2000 and Office XP and never had any problems - it should be OK.
