I have two ext. HDs, both G-TECH G-RAID2 500GB (RAID 0) for MAIN & BACKUP. I replaced both disks in one unit and fans in both units with parts identical to originals. All important data was copied to a G-SAFE (RAID 1) HD before repairs were started. New disks for the second G-RAID2 HD will be replaced later. My computer is a Mac mini, OS10.7.5, 2.7GHz Core i7 with 16GB RAM & SSD.
I need to know how to make the G-RAID2 HD address both disks to re-establish RAID 0. I see on the bridge circuit board a SW1 marking. Is that a switch? If so, what is it for? What do I need to do to get the G-RAID2 working as RAID 0 again? The Mac mini cannot mount the G-RAID2 HD with Disk Utility open because it is not yet operating as one volume. This is my first experience repairing a HD, so I need all the help I can get. My sincere thanks to anyone that can tell me what I need to do.
