I"ve noticed that many webpages display a small graphic in the browser URL line, just to the left of the ' http:// ' An example is Google at http://www.google.com which displays a graphic with a capital "G"

Does anyone have info on how to do this on a website?

Just put a favicon.ico file on your website, browsers look for that file to use as the icon to display :)
