I have become paranoid that a business competiitor has hacked my pc. Or at least used the services of others to do so. I am not on a network and am running AVG, Ewido, Adware and Spy Bot. Is there a way that I can check this possibility ? Someone had mentioned I should check ports. However I have no idea where to start.

I know about 3DCAL. Its OK. I did an Ewido scan and it came up with a few entires that I removed. (Burst Net/Stacounter) I removed these However I messed up with saving the report. So did another scan which is below. Also HJT.

Sorry it took so long. I regularly do adaware, spybot and Ewido runs. However it seems the same suspects keep coming back, Burstnet and others. Isnt there a way of stopping the same spywar from returning ? Anyway here's the logs

go to add/remove and uninstall burstnet and whatever other programmes are bugging you, delete their folders if there from C: program files!

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

    http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
    http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install
button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added
l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1
for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your
computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2,
notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into
    this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

if you receive, while running option #1, an error similar like: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and Microsoft windows applications. choose "close to terminate the application".....then please use option 5 or the web page link in the l2mfix folder to solve this error condition. Do not run the fix portion without fixing this first.

    Download the pocket killbox

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/killbox.php

Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. Now put a tick by Delete on
Reboot. In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each
of the following lines one at a time then click on the button that has
the red circle with the X in the middle after you enter each file.
It will ask for confimation to delete the file on next reboot. Click
Yes. It will then ask if you want to reboot now. Click No. Continue
with that same procedure until you have copied and pasted all of
these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box. Then click yes
to reboot after you entered the last one.

Note: It is possible that Killbox will tell you that one or more files do not
exist. If that happens, just continue on with all the files. Be sure you
    don't miss any.

    C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\pinstall.dll

post another log you should be clean now!

    clean log.

MSAS offers good real time protection so it's worth putting up with and mine doesn't pop that much at all, you just need to permit or deny!

you should now turn off system restore to flush out the bad restore points and
then re-enable it and make a new clean restore point.

How to turn off system restore

here's some free tools to keep you from getting infected in the future.

to stop reinfection get these two tools, spywareguard and spywareblaster
    from

    http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/downloads.html

get the hosts file from here.

    http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

    put it into :

    Windows XP = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
    Windows 2K = C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
    Win 98\ME = C:\WINDOWS

ie-spyad.Puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected

when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.

    https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm

    http://www.winpatrol.com/winpatrol.html

Use spybot's immunize button and use spywareblaster' enable
protection once you update it. you can put spybot's hosts file into
    your own and lock it.

I would also suggest switching to Mozilla's firefox browser, it's safer, has
a built in pop up blocker, blocks cookies and adds. Mozilla Thunderbird is also a good
    e-mail client.

Another good and free browser is Opera!

    regular spyware cleaners.
