    "reboot and select boot device" ia all I get when turning on computer....why? suggestions.....

    It sounds like possibly its trying to boot from the hard drive but the hard drive has problems and will have to be replaced.that would be the first place to start looking.

    check you can see the hard drive listed in the bios ok

    if it is then

    d/load and run the h/drive makers diagnostic utility on the h/drive

    if it's not then check the data cable plugs are secure

    try a new data cable

    Sorry bout slow reply, limited access and all. Well thanks for concern, but tried two other hd and same issues. So, found a friend with extra tower just gotta get it and modem to act right together.. So we may as well consider this closed. Thanks again!
