Ok here it is....I am helping my sister fix her laptop. I am using mine to post and search since hers is very slow. When you try to scroll it rolls the screen (very irritating).
MFDnSC was helping me but I think he went to bed (plus, i think I drove him nuts !)
Sorry about that MFDnSC, my house is crazy with my 3 kids all under the age of 6.
So anyways I need Help . Below is the latest hjt log, I really hope someone can help me
At this moment I am running ActiveScan and so far it has found 3 spyware and 4 hacking tools and potentially unwanted tools.

It's a Toshiba Satilite laptop 55gb free space

i would sooooo appreciate someones help.
    Thank you,
    Stacy

    I have ran:

    spy sweeper
    spybot
    adaware
    cwshredder
    avg
    activscan
    look2me
    vundofix
    ewido
ccleaner (which disappears when I run cleaner)

    Please help
    Thanks,
    Stacy

Do a ctrl-alt-del to open the task manager and look at the process tab. Is any process consuming very high cpu time other than "system idle process"?

You have this running, it could be a factor:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\sessmgr.exe

This is a microsoft remote assistance program. If you have a session going there you should end it and reboot.

Try clean boot troubleshooting for further analysis:

First, restart in Safe Mode (tap the f8 key promptly on startup and choose the Safe Mode option from the boot menu).

In Safe Mode, run msconfig and select the "Services" tab. Check "Hide Microsoft Services" and then disable the rest. Also uncheck "load startup group" on the general page.

See this link for detailed information:

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;310353

Now restart and test the issue at hand

If no problems, run msconfig and recheck half the disabled items on the Services tab. Test again. If the problem recurs, UNcheck half the items you just checked to narrow down the culprit.

If the problem didn't occur, check the other half, so all the Services are enabled -- proceed to do this on the startup tab as well.

Get the idea? You want to isolate the problem to a specific startup if possible.

I figured it out. The virus must have attacked the display drivers.
Thank you for all your help

    Thanks

Try both a Safe Mode boot and a VGA boot from your F8 boot menu.

Does it scroll normally in either mode?

If so the display drivers may need to be reloaded.

Try uninstalling Webroot's Spysweeper -- this can cause problems not addressed by a "clean boot" or even in Safe Mode, due to the "winlogon" driver it loads.

edit Darn, too late for me to take credit ;)
