Hi, when i start up firefox one of two things happen:
    1. it crashes,
    2. avg detects two virus's, allways in the temporary internet files filder...
i guess i'll just have to type it all up (these are the alerts that avg finds on firefox starting up):

    Virus found Lop - C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\8GJY52S7\ptch[1]
    Virus found Lop - C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\NH2Y88D9\hctp[1]
    Virus found Lop - C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\4C80I4S=\hctp[1]
    Virus found Lop - C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\4C80I4S=\ptch[1]
    Virus found Lop - C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\4C80I4S=\ptch[1]
    Virus found Lop - C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\8GJY52S7\hctp[1]
    Virus found Lop - C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\NH2Y88D9\kriv[1]
    Virus found Lop - C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\8GJY52S7\glas[1]

and finally (i think his is unrelated but it can't hurt to put it here i guess)
    Virus identified I-Worm/Stration.GPB - C:\Games\Final Fantasy VII\ff7.exe

    ----

also for the first time, today, Internet Explorer popped up and tried (and failed) to connect to 4 different URLs, in hindsight i should have copied them but i just exited IE 4 times untill it stopped trying...

Thanks for any help in advance, my lap top's internet has been accting very slow for the last 2 weeks(ish) which is when this virus started being detected. That's all the info i could think of, thanks.

i'm now getting floods of rundll error pop ups "could not read, cannot find module", warnings from windows defender about some asyncronised sink being disabled. also everything is just crashing.

ps. Sorry about the sketchiness i'm running Vista Home basic Swedish version, so i have to translate, and i dont know what they are on english versions, sorry :(

    SOMe new swtuff:

    Hi Welcome to TSG!!

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from Here or Here
Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
    • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    • Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
    • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
    • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
    • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
    • Copy the entire report and paste it in your next reply.
    Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.
