hi, welcome to TSG.

You don't appear to have a anti virus , download this one from the link below and once installed update it!

Anti-vir

http://www.free-av.com/

Click Start > Run > and type in:

services.msc

Click OK.

In the services window find Windows Management Controllor (WinMgct)
Right click and choose "Properties". On the "General" tab under "Service
Status" click the "Stop" button to stop the service. Beside "Startup Type"
in the dropdown menu select "Disabled". Click Apply then OK. Exit the
Services utility.

Note: You may get an error here when trying to access the properties of the
service. If you do get an error, just select the service and look there in
the top left of the main service window and click "Stop" to stop the
service. If that gives an error or it is already stopped, just skip this
step and proceed with the rest.

have hijack this fix these entries. close all browsers and programmes before
clicking FIX.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

* Restart your computer
* After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the
Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
* Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should
appear;
* Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press
Enter.
* Choose your usual account.

* Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start
the script.
* Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
* It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds
then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
* Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
* When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the
removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and

(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on
the forum).
* Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a
new HijackThis log

NOTE: If you have downloaded ComboFix previously please delete that
version and download it again!

Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running
ComboFix.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that along with a
new HijackThis log.

Download ComboFix from
Here
or
Here
to your Desktop.

Reboot to Safe mode:

Restart your computer and begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard just
before Windows starts to load. If done right a Windows Advanced Options menu
will appear. Select the Safe Mode option and press Enter.

Perform the following actions in Safe Mode.
  • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a
HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its
running. That may cause it to stall

* Download Dr.Web CureIt to the desktop:
ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe

* Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan
* This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is
found,
click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it. This is only a
short scan.
* Once the short scan has finished, Click Options > Change settings
* Choose the "Scan"-tab, remove the mark at "Heuristic analysis".
* Back at the main window, mark the drives that you want to scan.
* Select all drives. A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
* Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
* Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
* When the scan has finished, look if you can click next icon next to the
files found: IPB Image
* If so, click it and then click the next icon right below and select Move
incurable as you'll see in next image:
IPB Image
This will move it to the %userprofile%\DoctorWeb\quarantaine-folder if it
can't be cured. (this in case if we need samples)
* After selecting, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose
save report list
* Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
* Close Dr.Web Cureit.
* Reboot your computer!! Because it could be possible that files in use will
be moved/deleted during reboot.

Post a new hijack this, the dr web scan log, the sdfix log, and the combo log!

hi karzars,
actually my zonealarm security suite has an av and antispyware program itself,
nevertheless i still downloaded the avira av as told by you.
halfway when i was scanning my com with Dr.Web, the av guard detected TR/SpyAgent.22940 trojan and i selected deny access.

i understand that i have to fix these items as told :
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O23 - Service: Windows Management Controllor (WinMgct) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\WinMgCt.exe (file missing)

but when i scan with HJT again today the WinMgct is no longer in the list (maybe because i disabled it in the services?), so i only fixed the 1st one (O2 - BHO).

at the last few steps of Dr. Web, u mentioned to move the IPB image. i couldnt find anything like that so i skipped that whole part and saved the log.

anw these are the final logs (i ran HJT again after Dr Web Scanner):

As you have an anti virus in ZAlarm you should uninstall anti vir as it will conflict with the other anti virus program and cause you problems!

* Copy the entire contents of the Quote Box below to Notepad.
* Name the file as CFScript.txt
* Change the Save as Type to All Files
* and Save it on the desktop

KILLALL::

File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ezsidmv.dat
Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at "C:\ComboFix.txt"

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause
it to stall

Download Superantispyware (SAS):

http://www.superantispyware.com/supe....html?rid=3132

Once downloaded and installed update the defintions
and then run a full system scan quarantine what it finds!

* Double-click SUPERAntiSypware.exe and use the default settings for
installation.
* An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch
the program.
* If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update
the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you
encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download and
unzip them from here.)

http://www.superantispyware.com/definitions.html

* Under "Configuration and Preferences", click the Preferences button.
* Click the Scanning Control tab.
* Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all
others unchecked):
o Close browsers before scanning.
o Scan for tracking cookies.
o Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
* Click the "Close" button to leave the control center screen.
* Back on the main screen, under "Scan for Harmful Software" click Scan your
computer.
* On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed Drive.
* On the right, under "Complete Scan", choose Perform Complete Scan.
* Click "Next" to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your
computer.
* After the scan is complete, a Scan Summary box will appear with
potentially harmful items that were detected. Click "OK".
* Make sure everything has a checkmark next to it and click "Next".
* A notification will appear that "Quarantine and Removal is Complete".
Click "OK" and then click the "Finish" button to return to the main menu.
* If asked if you want to reboot, click "Yes".
* To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware
again.
o Click Preferences, then click the Statistics/Logs tab.
o Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
o If there are several logs, click the current dated log and press View log.
A text file will open in your default text editor.
o Please copy and paste the Scan Log results in your next reply.
* Click Close to exit the program.

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop. alternate download link 1 alternate download link 2

http://malwarebytes.gt500.org/mbam-setup.exe

http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html

* Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
* Double-click on Download_mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
* When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
* When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:
o Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
o Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
* Then click Finish.
* MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.
* On the Scanner tab:
o Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected.
o Then click on the Scan button.
* If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button.
* The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient.
* When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".
* Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.
* Back at the main Scanner screen, click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart your computer. (see Note below)
* The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply with a new hijackthis log.

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

ihmm it didn't seem to delete that file!

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ezsidmv.dat

1. Please download The Avenger by Swandog46 to your Desktop.

http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/avenger.zip

* Click on Avenger.zip to open the file
* Extract avenger.exe to your desktop

2. Copy all the text contained in the code box below to your Clipboard by
highlighting it and pressing (Ctrl+C):

Files to delete:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ezsidmv.dat
Note: the above code was created specifically for this user. If you are not
this user, do NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings
of your system.

3. Now, start The Avenger program by clicking on its icon on your desktop.

* Under "Script file to execute" choose "Input Script Manually".
* Now click on the Magnifying Glass icon which will open a new window
titled "View/edit script"
* Paste the text copied to clipboard into this window by pressing
(Ctrl+V).
* Click Done
* Now click on the Green Light to begin execution of the script
* Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.

4. The Avenger will automatically do the following:

* It will Restart your computer. ( In cases where the code to execute
contains "Drivers to Unload", The Avenger will actually restart your system
twice.)
* On reboot, it will briefly open a black command window on your
desktop, this is normal.
* After the restart, it creates a log file that should open with the
results of Avenger’s actions. This log file will be located at
C:\avenger.txt
* The Avenger will also have backed up all the files, etc., that you
asked it to delete, and will have zipped them and moved the zip archives to
C:\avenger\backup.zip.

5. Please copy/paste the content of c:\avenger.txt into your reply.

i think the avenger i downloaded is updated, cause i can input the code at the main window.

well the com's running fine. after startup the com was abit slow(mayb due to the startups of the anti virus/malware/spyware programs).

ran the avenger and after reboot, windows popped up a error notice:

Windows - No Disk
Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c

[Cancel][Try Again][Continue]

i clicked cancel and the same error popped up 3 more times(i think) before dying off. what's the error about?
i also cant seem to open up my emails with mozilla & ie. stuck on the main page of hotmail.

ie says the page is done loading but with errors on the page.

after that i restarted the com (thought that might fix the webpage error) and the Windows - No Disk error dint pop up anymore. but the email problem still persists. what went wrong?

anw here's the logs:

Try Microsoft's website to see if there are any updates for IE as this may fix it by updating the browser.

Also try and delete your cookies and temp files!

* Go to Control Panel > Java. On the General tab under Temporary Internet
Files" click the "Delete Files" button to clear the Java cache. Or open
Java and clcik clear cache for older version of Java! If you have
Microsoft's uninstall it and download Sun's java.

* Go to Control Panel > Internet Options. On the General tab under
"Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete
Offline Conten

you can try some of these fixes but it is also affecting mozilla dn opera, so it must be something possible to do with Microsoft and hotmial accounts as you can access all other sites?

Also delete the host file as it may have an entry blocking msn etc!
