i turned on my laptop but the usual window of W.L.Messenger to start the session didn't appear at start. i double-clicked the icon of Messenger on the desktop, still the window didn't open, it only appeared the small icon on the toolbar next to the clock but it desappeared when i scrolled over it without giving me a chance to click it. i have not been shown any error message. i have tried reparing Messenger and restart the laptop, uninstall and reinstall messenger but without any result. the old MSN Messenger works properly but Windows Live Messenger still doesn't work. i have sent an e-mail to messenger support but i haven't got a response them yet.

Next time when you uninstall Windows Live Messenger, try removing all the registry keys relevant to the program. That is if you are sure you can identify them. If not, don't even go near regedit :)
