Okay, I've been fighting this thing for two days. I've done everything I can possibly do, I've gone and deleted a million files, run cleaning software, run adaware a million times (not spybot cause I d/led it less than a hour before I got this thing so I don't trust it). I just d/led hijack this and I'm posting my logfile, I've already gone through the posts here and deleted anything that anyone had suggested to someone else to delete, but there's still stuff on here I don't recognize. My computer still freezes whenever I try to open a file directly (I can open an application and open a file but it won't let me just open a file without launching the application first). Is there anything else I should delete or any other tips to get rid of this wupdater and the software that tagged along with it (that searchbar thing, a purity thing, a ezura or whatever, clocksync, etc.). Thanks :)

To start with Spybot is 100% to be trusted. You also have a coolwebsearch infection.
Download CWShredder from http://www.computercops.biz/downloads-file-349.html & run it. Select the fix button & it will get rid of everything related to CoolWebSearch. Close ALL other programs & windows, including IE, before running CWShredder. REBOOT.

Unzip HJT into it's own permanent folder before doing anything in order for it to create backups. (Not a temporary folder & not on the desktop). Close all (browser) windows & have HJT fix these entries by placing a check in the appropriate box=

Reboot into safe mode following the instructions here. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001052409420406 & navigate to & delete
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP< clear entire contents of this folder

C:\WINDOWS\system32\pcs< this one
C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\DPI< this one
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\rrst.exe< this one
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\wnscpsu.exe< this one

Reboot normally after doing this & post another log please.

Looks good to me. Unless one of the experts here see anything, I'd say you are good to go.

Your next step is to go here & install ALL critical updates required for your system.
