    Hi everybody,

I recently updated my PC after a long time, but when i ran Speedfan on it i noticed a temp that was always higher. I would really love to know what it is?, is it normal? and most of all, if it's necessary to cool it, how do i do it?

I'll attach a photo of the Speedfan results

Also, my specs right now are

    Gigabyte 970A-D3P
    AMD FX 8320
8 Gigs of 1600 mhz RAM
    Radeon HD 6670 2 Gigs

If you need any other information, please let me know

    Thanks a lot!

    PS: No overclocking

Try the free version of Piriform Speccy 1.26.698 and see if it also shows any overheating issue.

No problems with that software , but... what could have caused the high temp on speed fan then?

    Thanks for the reply

I've never used SpeedFan, so I can't comment on it.

I realize you're concerned about an overheating issue, but is your computer actually running okay and not emitting any unusual odor?

It seems to be running fine, the thing is that i've had some unusual FPS drops on games and i've tried almost everything else so when i saw the temp i thought it might be the problem

Did you run Speccy while playing a game?

That equates to about 122 degrees Fahrenheit, so you're good. (y)

Speedfan is OK but no monitoring software if faultless. Speedfan was probably misinterpretting the sensor output so displaying an inaccurate reading.

As you have a Gigabyte motherboard I would recommend getting Easytune from the Gigabyte support site and using that as your monitoring software. Tools provided by the board manufacturer are the mosy likely to provide accurate data.
