Hi gdiet444, Welcome to TSG!! :)

    Download the Pocket KillBox

Unzip the files to your desktop.

    Print these instructions.

Close all applications and browser windows.

    Run KillBox.exe.

Select the Delete on Reboot option.
In the Full Path of File to Delete field paste each of the paths below one at a time, click the red circle with the white X in it, click Yes to delete the file on reboot, when it asks you to reboot click No.

    C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\pctsab.dat

    C:\WINDOWS\repair\vgadisk.exe

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\hostx.exe

    C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\bastcp.exe

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = about:blank
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
    O2 - BHO: CATLEvents Object - {30279F2D-1A38-4785-97D4-5C3508BDB289} - C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\pctsab.dat
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [*vgadisk] C:\WINDOWS\repair\vgadisk.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [*bastcp] C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\bastcp.exe

    Click "fix checked".

Go to Start, Run, type %temp%, click OK
Delete the entire contents of this folder.

Empty Temporary Internet files, including offline content.

    Empty your recycle bin.

Reboot and post a new HJT log.

Looks like it took care of bastcp.exe issue that was chewing up my resources. The only problem I experienced following your instructions was the inability to delete the pctsab temp file.

Thanks for the quick response. Here is my current HJT log....
