Please check this log. What I am concerned about is when I "check" items 023 AVG to fix checked, it won't remove it. I cannot uninstall the program either because it's corrupt from a recent system restore.

WeatherBug is malware you should remove that.

Click Start - Run - and type in:

    services.msc

    Click OK.

In the services window find the service you want to stop. Right click and choose "Properties". On the "General" tab under "Service Status" click the "Stop" button to stop the service. Beside "Startup Type" in the dropdown menu select "Disabled". Click Apply then OK.
    Exit the Services utility.

Thanks it worked like a champ!! I'll keep weather bug too, no problems with it. Any easy ways to uninstall corrupt programs in which the uninstaller is removed? Thanks.

I would suggest reinstall of the offending application and then correct removal.

I hope you plan on getting another anti-virus program running as well! ;)

I liked AVG but for some reason it disrupted outlook express. I would not be able to open it or access it. To log on to outlook express I set up a password using the identity login. Any ideas on that issue? Would that be an issue? I wanted to use a password to access outlook express. Thanks, B-72.
