I had Virtumonde, but AVG Anti Virus got rid of that for me. Spybot continues to come up with a 2search log file that I am unable to get rid of. I have a hijack this log. Could you help me finish cleaning off my computer?

Edit: 2Search has dissapeared from my Spybot from my last scan, but I doubt it's gone, as it's been there through several scans, and not on others. And now this DoubleClick cookie is back. It was gone the scan before the one I just did, but it's someone registered again. Please help.

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only

    • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
      Under Main choose: Select All
      Click the Empty Selected button.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware Free for Home Users
    • Double-click SUPERAntiSpyware.exe and use the default settings for installation.
    • An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program.
    • If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download and unzip them from here.)
    • Under "Configuration and Preferences", click the Preferences button.
    • Click the Scanning Control tab.
    • Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked):
      • Close browsers before scanning.
      • Scan for tracking cookies.
      • Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
    • Click the "Close" button to leave the control center screen.
    • Back on the main screen, under "Scan for Harmful Software" click Scan your computer.
    • On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed Drive.
    • On the right, under "Complete Scan", choose Perform Complete Scan.
    • Click "Next" to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
    • After the scan is complete, a Scan Summary box will appear with potentially harmful items that were detected. Click "OK".
    • Make sure everything has a checkmark next to it and click "Next".
    • A notification will appear that "Quarantine and Removal is Complete". Click "OK" and then click the "Finish" button to return to the main menu.
    • If asked if you want to reboot, click "Yes".
    • To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware again.
      • Click Preferences, then click the Statistics/Logs tab.
      • Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
      • If there are several logs, click the current dated log and press View log. A text file will open in your default text editor.
      • Please copy and paste the Scan Log results in your next reply with a new hijackthis log.
    • Click Close to exit the program.

When you say "Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked)", do you mean all that were checked previously, uncheck them? Or just leave what's checked, and check those ones?

Note: ATF Cleaner opened for me. I left it trying to open the page and it went through. Took several minutes while I configured SUPERAntiSpyware.

Note2: While scanning with SAS [SUPERAntiSpyware], AVG picked up an infected file that SAS didn't even consider spyware. Why is this?

Alright. That's what I did, Cyber.

While scanning with SAS [SUPERAntiSpyware], AVG picked up an infected file that SAS didn't even consider spyware. Why is this?

Ah! AVG is popping up with many viruses now! Mainly A00xxxxx.dlls! Should I move these to the virus vault!?

Most of these were GenericTrojanHorse.something. I didn't get to type it out. They were all basically infected A00xxxxx.dll, just different numbers.

What was the file SAS found?

Yes, let AVG move the infected files to the vault.

Nope, seems fine to me. I'm going to run a Spybot check to make sure. If I don't post anymore, it's all good. :)

Thank you for your help, Cyber! I'll try to donate. :)
