I am not sure if you actually can remove Movie Maker...
    Are you using XP?
Because it is a feature included with XP...

What you can try is removing it by deleting the following shortcut and folder.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Windows Movie Maker
    C:\Program Files\Movie Maker

    Hope this helps

I dont know about a manual way to remove it, but you can uninstall Movie Maker using a commercial program called XPlite Professional, and the ability to remove Movie Maker is available in their free trial version:

    No problem ;)
I heard about XPlite before and that it can remove annoying Windows components, so I rechecked their website for their ability to remove Movie Maker.
