Hello everyone. This should be pretty simple. Basically I am trying to figure out how to export cookies from Firefox to Internet Explorer 6. I don't know what file to export them from and Firefox's help site isn't helping any. Thanks for any help you can provide me. :)

Sorry Holly3278 did not have an answer for you.

I tried Importing the cookie.txt file from Firefox into Internet Explorer and it would not work for me.

Maybe the solution in this thread will help:
    http://forums.techguy.org/t409374.html

I haven't had a chance to try it out, but I was thinking once the files are backed up, perhaps Internet Explorer could then Import the cookie file.

Let us know if that works for you.

Unfortunately, that doesn't help at all. I am wanting my cookies from Firefox to go to IE. See, I imported my cookies from IE to Firefox and then deleted the cookies from IE thinking that I could reimport them back to IE if I really needed to. Unfortunately I was wrong. I'm really beginning to get sick of Firefox.

I'll try it out and see what files are created as back ups.
Might be able to do something with it.

I am in the middle of something right now, so it will be later today before I can get to it.

    Hi Holly3278

    Have you tried this:

In IE6 click on File>Import and Export and click on Next.
Then hilight Import Cookies and then Next.
    Click on Browse.
Under Import from a file, click on Browse.
    Navigate to the C: Drive
Then go to Documents and Settings>Username>Cookies

Note: Insert your Username in there.

Hmmm thanks. Unfortunately, that's going to make me import every single one of them individually. All well, I'll just change my passwords if I have to. Thanks anyway! (y)

I tried the MozBackup program and it created a .pcv file.
Which Internet Explorer could not recognize.
So that didn't work either, sorry.

little den were you able to get this to work?
    It failed everytime for me.

Browsing to the cookie.txt file in the Firefox Profile also failed.
