I downloaded and installed Microsoft Messenger and I hate it.
I want to get rid of it but I can't figure out how. I have deleted it (or so I thought), and I even took it out of "Startup" but it is still there, glaring at me from my task bar.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

You say you deleted it? I hope youo didn't try to merely delete the Folder. The way to uninstll Messenger is through
Control Panel>add remove Programs.
Scroll to the Entry for Msn Messenger and click Remove. Be sure Messenger isn't running when you do this. Use CTRL+ALT+DEL and end task it.

If you DID delete the folder, then reinstall messenger and remove it using add/remove as per Mosaic's instructions
