Solved: How do I keep several programs from opening on Start-up

    How do I keep several programs from starting up when I boot my computer. I have Windows 7. TY

    Or use Startup Manager from my sign.

    Try this:
    Go to Start Menu>>Startup
    If you see any programs there, just delete them.
    However, some programs copy themselves to Startup through the registry keys, so external software like antech suggested should work.

    Ok Antech. The solution was the software obtained by link provided by Mumbidog, the second one he offered,
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx This software listed everything that starts up when I boot up my computer. I found it amazing the number of items that start up. I also saw many windows items I would never use that i stopped from starting on boot. I found my intended 3rd party programs and stopped them from starting. An excellent program that I saved for future use. TY Mumbodog again. My computer starts-up faster now too.
