I once knew how to shut down the Preview Pane in Windows Mail, but I've suffered a total black-out.
    Can anyone help - please?

which mail is it? Office 2010, 2007, etc.....

Regardless, you should be able to turn it off by navigating around the button on top. It will vary from one version of Office to the next, so we sort of need to know what version you have.

I believe he's just referring to "Windows" Mail, the program that comes bundled with Windows. I had a look at my copy and can't seem to find anything either to close the preview window.

Kinda hard to tell what he's talking about. Windows Mail is bundled with Vista only, but Computer specs say XP.

    Hi tirta

    Try:
    View > Layout
    Uncheck: Show Preview Pane
    Apply, OK

Let us know if that works for you or not.
