I want to repace the DVD drive in a HP Pavilion 7924 - in order to do that I need to remove the front cover.

I have found the 6 clips (3 each side - top/middle/bottom) that seem to hold the cover on, the bottom part of the cover appears to move away from the chassis - however, the top part of the cover will still not move away from the chassis - is there another clip somewhere keeping the cover on.

Lift the tray on the CD holder. There is a clip under it. I forget, but you might need a screwdriver to release it. It is in the front part of the holder.;)
